Security Compliance Officer at United Risk
MEDFORD, OREGON, APRIL 3, 2009—Michael Sellers, risk management advisor at United Risk Solutions, Inc. in Medford, has been appointed Security Compliance Officer. In this new position, Mr. Sellers is responsible for maintaining and monitoring the firm’s program to protect the security, confidentiality and integrity of personal information of clients as well as employees. In support of these new responsibilities, Mr. Sellers recently earned the Certified Identity Theft Risk Management Specialist (CITRMS), which is administered by The Institute of Fraud Risk Management. He is one of only several hundred persons nationwide to hold this certification.
Mr. Sellers’ expertise will benefit not only United Risk, but also will help the firm’s clients protect their businesses and employees from identity theft fraud.
CITRMS is a professional certification for those working in risk management and related fields, such as finance, insurance, loss control, law, accounting, and law enforcement. The CITRMS course is the nation’s only professional certification program specifically developed to train professionals to understand and address identity theft and related fraud.
Mr. Sellers, who is licensed in property and casualty insurance, joined the Commercial Lines department of United Risk in 2008. He attended Southern Oregon University and is a former US Marine. Mr. Sellers has lived in Grants Pass for more than ten years with wife Danielle and their five children, Mitchell, Alex, Logan, Blake and Rylie, and volunteers his time and energy to numerous charitable organizations.
