MEDFORD, OREGON —United Risk Solutions, Inc. announces the addition of Jim Cox to its team of insurance producers in the firm’s Commercial Lines Department.

A long time insurance professional, Cox brings over 30 years experience to his new position at United Risk with expertise ranging from commercial and personal insurance sales to field underwriting. Past positions include management at Security Insurance Agency where he was also a partner, and time as an underwriter with Safeco Insurance Company. Most recently, he was Branch Manager at Beecher Carlson Insurance Agency in Medford.

Growing up in the Rogue Valley, Cox had gained a unique understanding of the needs and difficulties facing local businesses and looks forward to continuing to apply his insurance experience in the community. Cox has served on several Agency Councils including Transamerica, Unigard, American Hallmark and Safeco. He is also a past president of Independent Insurance Agents of Jackson County, the Crater Lions Club, the Medford Linebackers Club and the South Medford Booster club, as well as a current member of the Medford Rotary.

Cox is a graduate of Southern Oregon College, now Southern Oregon University, where he earned a BS in business administration.
